Tips on Creating A Perfect Meditation Space

There is more to us human beings than meets the eye. We are all connected to one another, to mother earth, and even the universe.

We are made up of billions, billions, and billions of atoms which 40% of these atoms have the same molecular structure as the stars in the cosmos. An atom consists of 99.9999999% space and energy. So, in theory we are more spirit than we are of matter…

We have been created in the image of the Almighty. We are all magnificent human being with infinite potential power. The problem is your mind is limiting you from manifesting a life filled with love, happiness, and even passion.

The secret to connecting to this divine within yourself is through meditation. But with this ancient practice comes much discipline, and it is not some overnight process. It takes time, patience, persistence, and repetition.

You must build your temple on a rock-solid foundation. This consists of establishing an everyday meditation ritual. When you go down this path, it will be very beneficial in creating a meditation space where you can find your Zen.

Clean Up Your Zen Space

When beginning a meditation practice, it is beneficial to establish an area where it is quiet and free from interruptions. After you become deeply rooted into your practice, you will be able to meditate where there are more distractions.

But for now, you must tame your mind, and it is best to keep the distractions away. So, find a room where you won’t get disturbed. Make sure this room is clean and orderly because it will feel more peaceful.

It wouldn’t hurt to diffuse with some Yogic Essential Oils to clear any negative energy in the room daily. Give yourself plenty of elbow room, because the last thing you want is to feel closed in. Spend a little time making this room as comfortable as possible.

You can purchase yourself a meditation cushion to sit on and even put some posters up of some of your favorite Zen masters.

The point is you need to get your room ready and purified for your lifelong commitment to the art of meditation…

You Can Meditate Anywhere

Even though creating a meditation space is best when free from distractions, you may not have this as an option.

So, you might have to utilize whatever you have and make the best of the situation. There really is no specific place where your meditation must be performed. It just is nice to have the right atmosphere to help calm your nerves and your mind.

Meditation is for anyone and can be done anywhere. Sometimes it is beneficial to do it at your job. Especially when it gets stressful. Take a 5-minute break and close your eyes and just breathe. You will be amazed at how much better you will feel when you calm your nervous system down, relieving your body from all the harmful toxins from the stress you are feeling.

Do you travel a lot?

The airport can also be a great place to practice your meditation. The problem with noisy places is that they are very distractive. I usually meditate just by following my breath, but in noisy areas I like to listen to a guided meditation with binary beats to muffle out the exterior noises.

But out of all the place I have meditated the outdoors is by far the best place for creating a meditation space. The reason for this is that you can just become hypnotized by the sounds of nature. You can feel the energy from mother nature, and it will make you feel so grounded.

Find yourself a log or sit on the ground and just breathe in and out. Listen to the sounds of the birds chirping, the water of a stream nearby, and even the whistling of the wind.

Smell any fragrances like the pine from a nearby tree or a blooming flower. By doing this, you will become connected to the creation of the Divine harmonizing your vibrational frequencies.

Creating a meditation space doesn’t always have to be in an area where you just sit. You can take a walk in the park barefooted and feel the sensations of your feet becoming grounded to mother earth. Just become mindful of your surroundings.

Learn to become present and in the moment of your walk. Breathe with every step. Focus on your surroundings.

  • What do you see?
  • What do you feel?
  • When you notice the surrounding beauty, there will be a sense of oneness.

Another great meditation space would be in a church, a temple, or a monastery. If you are not religious, then maybe this isn’t for you. But this place is like being in nature giving you a deep connection to a higher power. What spiritual leaders originally designed these places for was to raise your energy up by singing and being around positive enforcing people.

Find Your Zen Space

There are so many areas for creating a meditation space. So, there can’t be any excuses for why you cannot practice this art. The key is to just do it no matter how you feel. Day and night.

This repetition will create a strong habit that will become unbreakable. It will not only strengthen your mind, but it will ignite the passion in your soul.

No one way that is better than the other. It’s about what feels right. The same goes for your zen space. Find what feels good and then go with the flow. It doesn’t hurt to utilize different areas because life sometimes throws you a curveball. So, your routine doesn’t always go as you plan.
